This is The Bucky — reversible, so it's two hats in one.

• Fully reversible: black for the night creeping, LH Teal for day raving
• Full brim all the way round — ears and neck covered, not just your face
• Sweat resistant
• Easy to clean

Sizing

This one comes in two proper sizes rather than an adjustable back, so it's worth measuring before you order. Run a tape measure around your head just above the ears:

• Medium — fits a 57cm head
• Large — fits a 63cm head

Sitting between the two? Size up. A bucket hat that's a touch roomy still looks right; one that's tight doesn't.

Looking after it

Spot clean with warm water and a bit of soap, then air dry in the shade with the brim flat. No machine, no dryer — a bucket hat never recovers from a tumble dry.

Fair warning: it's shade, not sunscreen. Still put the cream on.
