• Wide brim right the way round — face, ears and the back of your neck all covered

Sizing

This one comes in two proper sizes rather than an adjustable back, so it's worth measuring before you order. Run a tape measure around your head just above the ears:

• Medium — fits a 57cm head
• Large — fits a 63cm head

Sitting between the two? Size up — the pull string takes up the slack, so a slightly roomy one still sits right.

Looking after it

Spot clean with warm water and a bit of soap, then air dry in the shade with the brim flat. No machine, no dryer.

Fair warning: it's shade, not sunscreen. Still put the cream on your face and arms.
